Otis Library in Norwich, Connecticut, is seeking an Assistant Director/Head of Adult Services. This is a 36-hour per week, year-round position with paid leave and full benefits. The schedule may include evenings, weekends, and special events.
Purpose: The Assistant Director/Head of Adult Services supports the mission of Otis Library by performing professional administrative duties that include supervising the general operations of the Library with an emphasis on adult services. Qualifications: The skills and knowledge required for this position generally would be acquired with a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program and five to seven years of increasing supervisory experience in a library setting. A combination of other education and applicable experience may be considered. Fluent in English; fluency in languages other than English is desirable.

Due to an internal promotion, Otis Library in Norwich, Connecticut, is seeking a Library Assistant II to work at the Circulation Desk. This is a 28-hour per week, year-round position with paid leave, life insurance, and 401k. Some evenings and Saturday rotations are required.

Qualifications: The skills and knowledge required for this position are typically acquired with an Associate’s Degree in Library Science or Library Technical Assistant Certificate and two to three years of experience working in a library.
