The Otis Library Asks: What are you reading?
Book reviews and best sellers lists are all well and good, but sometimes the best books are those you hear about from word of mouth.
With that in mind, the Otis Library asks “What are you reading?” Add their recommendations to your own reading list! Remember to
ask at the Information Desk if you need help locating one of these books.
Our first reader is: Mayor Ben Lathrop, City of Norwich
Mayor Lathrop recommends:
“I recently read “The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch, which was very inspirational and certainly emotional. I would
recommend this book highly. I’m not much of a fiction reader, because I like real stories based on history, human events,
feats, accomplishments, etc. The only fiction author that I have read many of his books is Robert Ludlum. He was such a gifted writer!”
Further recommendations:
- “Not Without Peril” by Nicholas Howe
- “Fiasco: The American military adventure in Iraq” by Thomas E. Ricky
- “Good to Great” by Jim Collins
- “My American Journey” by Colin Powell
